Article 11. Cookies

The User is notified, during their first visit to the Sites, via a banner appearing on the access page, that cookies or other technologies are used during browsing and when using the Services, depending on the User’s preferences, which can be changed at any time.

A cookie enables its issuer, during its period of validity, to recognize the terminal in question (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) each time that terminal accesses digital content containing cookies from the same issuer. A cookie records information relating to the User’s computer navigation on our Sites (pages viewed, date and time of the visit, etc.) that we can read during subsequent visits.

These cookies make navigation easier and improve the user-friendliness of the Site. The User can oppose the storage of cookies by configuring the browser settings as indicated below. Access to certain services and sections of the Sites may, in this case, be altered or even impossible.

Several types of cookies may be used by the Site:

a) Site navigation cookies

Navigation cookies improve the performance of the Services to provide the User with a better use of the Site. These cookies do not require prior information or consent from the User to be placed on the User’s device.

More specifically, these navigation cookies notably allow:

b) Audience measurement cookies

Audience measurement cookies help establish statistics and traffic volumes and usage of the various elements making up the Site (sections and content visited, user paths), enabling Berkail to improve the relevance and usability of the Services.

c) Advertising cookies

Advertising cookies allow real-time determination of which ads to display based on the User’s recent navigation on the Site in order to limit the number of times they see an ad and help measure the effectiveness of an ad campaign.

Advertising content may contain cookies issued by third parties: either the advertiser responsible for the corresponding advertising content, or a company other than the advertiser (communications agency, audience measurement company, targeted advertising provider, etc.) or advertising network, which has associated a cookie with the advertiser’s advertising content.

d) Google Analytics and Privacy

This Site uses a web analytics service provided by Google Inc (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files stored on the User’s computer that enable analysis of Site usage.

Information generated by the cookies regarding the use of this Site is transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. Google uses this information to evaluate Site use, compile reports on Site activity for its operators, and provide other services related to Site and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if these data are processed on Google’s behalf. In no case will the User’s IP address be associated with other Google data. The User can disable cookies by adjusting browser settings; however, in such cases they may be unable to use the full functionality of this website. The User can at any time cancel the collection and storage of data by Google Analytics for future periods by downloading a browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics and installing it for their browser. The add-on for disabling can be found at [http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=fr].

The User can configure their browser settings so that cookies are saved on the device or, on the contrary, are rejected, either systematically or depending on the issuer. The User can also configure their browser to prompt them to accept or refuse cookies on a case-by-case basis, before a cookie may be stored on their device.

For managing cookies and User preferences, each browser’s configuration is different. This is described in the browser's help menu, allowing you to learn how to adjust your cookie preferences:

Cookies are used for internal purposes only and are not accessible to third parties.
